Research Hour Bundles

Do you have a family history research challenge for us?

If you have a specific project in mind, why not buy a bundle of research hours to commission some research? We specialise in English ancestry (1500s—present day) and are happy to consider Irish, Scottish & Welsh research projects on request. Scroll down for details of pricing and the archives we cover. And remember that when we're researching our ancestors, there's no such thing as a silly question. If you have a family history problem that's important to you, then we'd love to see what we can do to help.

Or perhaps you're after some genealogical guidance with our Research Mentoring or Research Auditing services?

Please contact us via our online form for a no-obligation quotation to discuss your project further.

Bundle Pricing

Purchase a fixed number of working hours for your project and we’ll take it from there! Bundled hours are valid on a range of Khronicle® services, including bespoke genealogical research, genetic genealogy consultations, research auditing and research mentoring. Quotations for larger bundles can be supplied on request.

Quality is important to us, so please note that our research hours comprise time for report writing and quality checks, in addition to genealogical research. Reprographics costs, e.g. for civil registration certificates, are not included in the bundle price.

Research Mentoring

Family history holds such personal significance for each of us. Sometimes you reach a point where you need help with a brick wall, but don’t want to hand it over for someone else to research. That’s understandable. Or perhaps one of your research projects has lost its appeal and you'd like some fresh ideas to really make it fly?

Friendly, non-intimidating and tailored to your specific requirements, our Research Mentoring service delivers professional advice whilst keeping you in the driving seat. How does it work? Once you've sent us the research you'd like to be mentored through, we'll evaluate it carefully and provide targeted advice to support you on your onward research journey - helping your family tree to flourish!

  • Transform your family history research with our Mentoring Report providing professional tips & constructive advice;
  • Acquire workarounds for complex research problems;
  • Hone your skills with useful research techniques;
  • Help you plan a full archival research day;
  • Can include one-to-one videocall advice sessions if desired.

All Mentoring bookings are paid for using bundled hours. You’ll receive a report containing detailed advice on your research project and identifying specific archival resources to pursue. Contact us to find out more.

Please note that our Mentoring is not a research checking service - if that's what you're after, take a look at our Auditing service below.

Research Auditing

Sometimes, a fresh pair of eyes can bring a whole new perspective to your work and identify fascinating new avenues to explore. This is where our Research Auditing service comes in. We’ll cast a professional eye over your family history research, providing you with the confidence to move forwards knowing that you’re building on firm foundations.

Our Auditing Report of your personal research can:

  • Identify any mistaken identities or places in your existing work and suggest appropriate alternatives;
  • Identify ancestral namesakes who might be easily confused with your own forebears;
  • Highlight exciting new possibilities for future research;
  • Suggest specialist sources to enhance your research narrative.

Paid for using bundled hours, our Auditing service can appraise a small fragment of your research, a single branch or even your entire family tree. You’ll receive a report containing a detailed analysis of your project and suggesting new avenues for future work. Small-scale checks may only require a couple of hours’ auditing time, whilst larger projects will inevitably take longer!

Why not help your family tree flourish with a professional research audit today? Contact us to discuss this further.
